Dr. Johnston received her masters and doctoral degree under the direction of Nobel Laureate Sherwood Rowland at the University of California, Irvine. She has taught chemistry and science at Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC) in Idaho for over 20 years. She teaches upper division courses in chemistry and leads an air chemistry laboratory at LCSC comprised of undergraduate students (see webpage). Her specialty is atmospheric chemistry and her research interests center around air and water quality measurements of local concern.
