LEWISTON, Idaho — In an announcement last week, the Idaho Division of Career Technical Education recognized the Lewis-Clark State College graphic communications program as its 2024 postsecondary exemplary program.
Thanks to recent approval from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), its accrediting body, LC State will offer a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.
LC State held a commencement ceremony for two more graduates of its prison education program at Idaho Correctional Institution - Orofino (ICIO). The unique event was held outside at the facility’s recreation yard and was attended by 56 other students in the program; over 20 college administrators, faculty and staff; as well as six family members of the graduates.
The LC State Auto Mechanics Club, with support from the college’s Technical & Industrial Division and a number of local sponsors, will host its first annual Warrior Wheels on Saturday, April 27, at the Schweitzer Career & Technical Education Center located at 2947 Cecil Andrus Way in Lewiston.
After conducting a national search, Lewis-Clark State College has invited three candidates to campus in July to interview for the position of athletic director. Campus visits will include meetings with administrators and athletics staff, and a campus presentation and open forum.

LC State professors Jenny Scott, Royal Toy, and Michelle Pearson-Smith will assume division chair duties when LC State begins its new fiscal year on July 1.

LC State will host the 8th annual “Dream It, Do It…Here!” Youth Conference on Tuesday, May 14, on the LC State campus. The event will run from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. with most activities taking place in the P1FCU Activity Center.
Lewis-Clark State College is expected to award over 900 degrees and certificates when it celebrates commencement with two ceremonies at the P1FCU Activity Center on Friday, May 10.
